I have to say, I'm surprised at how good I'm feeling. I haven't been hungry and I haven't had cravings since Thursday afternoon. I'm satisfied and I'm feeling good. I have more time since I'm not really cooking, grocery shopping, or cleaning as much. I also have lots of energy and I feel like I got about 10 extra hours to the weekend between getting up early and not being tried or hung over at all. I went through a transition period when I was fasting where my digestive system wasn't happy all the time, but that's all back to normal now. By crazy energy dwindled a little bit last night and I was tired Monday evening, but I still forced myself to go for a walk/run and I felt better after. Went to bed at a decent time and woke up refreshed!
On Sunday, one of my coworkers text me and shared an idea of blending butter with coffee. I was intrigued, as I have always heard about mixing these types of things with coffee and how much people love it. Since taking my desk job, I finally have a coffee addiction. Before, it was more of a fun thing, now I have it every day, including making it for myself on the weekends. I did a bit of research and I decided to try out a coffee with butter, coconut oil, stevia, and cinnamon. Here's what you need:
Coffee (I use 1-2 k cups worth)
1-2 tbsp butter
1-2 tbsp coconut oil
Liquid stevia (I use Sweet Leave Stevia Clear--5 drops)
and Cinnamon
Then, brew the coffee. Put the butter and coconut oil in a little dish and heat it up. Find a blender, anyone would do but I use the magic bullet. Mix all the ingredients together and blend it for about 10-15 seconds. Pour it in a glass and enjoy.
I have to admit, this is AMAZING!!!! It's definitely a little piece of heaven. I actually started drinking this as my breakfast and moving my breakfast back to lunch (I love eggs, I can't give them up). But definitely try this. I've shared some with a lot of people in the Personal Trainer Food office and it's a huge it!!
