I was thinking about what to write this week, and honestly, it's because pretty easy that it's just second nature and there's not a lot to say about it. I did have a happy moment last Friday. Typically, my Friday night fun has become buying a bottle of wine on my way home and I typically stop at the Walgreens by my apartment to pick it up. On Friday I just drove by it and smiled, I didn't have any desire or need. I still wanted to clean a bit, but didn't mind drinking some decaf coffee instead.
This week was crazy as usual...Monday night I worked until about 7, went home, did some cleaning and working out, and headed off to bed. Tuesday was a late work day, 8am-10pm. Wednesday I got my little sister, we went to the mall to return some things I needed to bring back that didn't fit. At our office warehouse, we had found pit bull wandering around near the road. It seems he had a home at some point, but has been homeless for awhile now. He is potty trained and knows the sit command, but has never gone up stairs, walked on a leash, was not neutered, had a bit of mange, and was a little too skinny. A lot of people at our office are dog lovers, so we all took care of him, fed him, and loved up on him. We took him home and bathed him and were going to work on finding him a home. Thursday night was spent taking care of him and then Friday we had a busy day at the office. We had our monthly group meeting so everyone was going 150 miles/hour. Friday night I went to dinner with friends and as I type this I'm sitting at Toyota getting my oil changed. Bored yet? ;)
I got my 20 minutes of walking in pretty much every day, and every other day I've done something additional, whether it be running or doing a work out DVD. When I weighed in yesterday I lost a few more inches and was down 1.8 more pounds. So far I'm at 6 pounds in 3 weeks. I'm now at 142.2. Not bad considering I've haven't had many cravings and when I'm hungry, I eat, and I'm easily satisfied. I've been able to go out to eat and haven't had to do much of any grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning. The Personal Trainer Food diet isn't so bad, and I'm actually impressed with how long I've done it now. Typically I do something for a week, make it too complicated, and give up. I'm definitely going to do this more often! It's a nice little reset.
In fact, I think I've decided that I'm going to continue for another month. They're giving us the option to continue, but I definitely want to make it a bit more intense. Right now, it's been so easy, and every once and awhile I like to challenge myself. Since all the sugar, carbs, alcohol cravings are gone and my habits are changing, I want to start finding a work out I enjoy and maybe being a bit more strict with my diet, eliminating a little more carbs (like nuts/breaded items) and really seeing how much I can tone by body. I wouldn't mind having abs show again, butt lift, an tone biceps. I'm going to think about this a bit more and try to put a game plan in place. Plus, its fun and motivating doing this with people from work. It's awesome to see their results and hear their stories, so what better time than now! The thought of being in a bikini shortly don't hurt either. We've had a lot of rain lately, but I spent a lot of my time last year on the weekends by my pool, and I definitely want to do that again. See you on the flips side!
