Well, I've officially completed my first 28 days on Personal Trainer Food. I avoided sugars, carbs, and alcohol for 30+ days now and I'm pretty happy with the results! I started at 147.7 and when I weighed in this time around, I was down to 139.1!! Woo Whooo! That's 8.6 pounds lost in 1 month. Not to shabby for not having to count calories, kill myself in the gym, or starve myself. Not only that, but I lost 16.5 inches from my body. It actually went so well that I'm going to do another month. I actually haven't been craving very much. I really want spaghetti squash with ground beef and spaghetti sauce. I think I'm going to tweak the program a bit next month and add a little more fat. I was down a bit of energy this last week but aunt flow cam to visit so that never helps. Twenty-eight more days, here we come!
I included my starting pictures with a current comparison of where I am. I can definitely see and feel weight loss and toning in my calves, thighs and upper arms. In the picture where I'm wearing shorts, I can see it in my upper abdomen area.
Not much new to report on the home front. We found Pitt--the dog in my last post a home. Gordon, who is our maintenance manager at Personal Trainer Food does a lot of disc golfing and so he brought him home over the weekend and took him with him. One of his buddies lost his dog about a year ago and fell in love with Pitt and decided to give him a home. Who wouldn't? That dog is the best! I was at about 85% wanting and willing to keep him, but not having the space for him to run around in my apartment was not fair to him. Plus when I introduced him to my dogs, they were a bit bratty to him.
I wasn't able to do the 5k on June 6th like I wanted to because I had a massive migraine the night before and the morning up, but instead I did a 5k yesterday. It was one that was a bit more 'fun' in spirit, it was the #FoamGlow 5k. We got a group of people together from work and ran it. It was definitely a good time.
Next weekend I'm going to Colorado with some friends. I'm going to fly in on Friday night and then we're going to head to the Rockies vs Brewers game. Saturday we have some white water rafting planned and we'll go from there. I'm starting to get excited but there's lots to do for work with week. We're doing a wedding weight loss challenge called Altered and then also a mens program, so the to do list is endless.
Since it's starting to get warm again, I've been spending a bit of my weekend time at the apartment complex pool. It's super relaxing there and one of my favorite things to do during summer! Get a little tan, grill out, take dip, play volleyball, and when the sun goes down, get in the hot tub! Sometimes when I lay by the pool I'll listen to an Audio book and the most recent one I've been listening to is called Grain Brain, I definitely recommend reading it! It's basically the Personal Trainer Food philosophy of eating, but it's explained by a doctor who will blow your mind about the harms of gluten. It's a good reinfocer while trying to avoid carbs and sugar.

This is probably TMI, but I know a few people who have been getting botox done to prevent and 'erase' wrinkles. I saw an Amazon Local deal come across the other day so I decided to try it. I'm not a huge fan of the fact that my forehead no longer moves, but i guess that's the point, and the wrinkles on my forehead have disappeared and it does give a younger, fresh appearance!
